Ridge Park girls’ host High Tea to aid Syria

THE Muslim Students Association (MSA) at Ridge Park College hosted a Ladies High Tea at the school on Saturday afternoon to raise funds for Syrian refugees.

Sumaya Paruk, a grade 11 pupil and president of Ridge Park’s Muslim Student’s Association, said the MSA had previously held a Cup Cakes for Syria sale but that the Ladies High Tea was the association’s biggest fundraiser. “The funds raised will go towards the Imdad Foundation’s collection for Syrian refugees.

“People are literally starving to death and we felt this is a current and serious problem that we wanted to get involved and help with,” she said.
