A MAN was killed while walking through Burman Bush reserve yesterday afternoon.

Ward Councillor Martin Meyer said details were yet unclear, however he knew that the man, a musician, had taken a tourist sightseeing in the reserve when they were attacked.

The man had been stabbed and his body was found this morning by walkers.

Deeply saddened by the incident, Meyer said he was meant to have a further meeting today with officials regarding security as well as to address fixing holes in the boundary fence, however it had been called off yesterday.

He has been working with the municipality and residents to form a conservancy to increase public presence at the reserve.

Updates to follow.
