Major Crash on Queen Nandi Drive

The car that the deceased were travelling in, after it collided with a taxi on Queen Nandi drive near Rosary drive this morning.

THREE people were killed and one was injured and transported to hospital with moderate injuries after the car they were in collided with a taxi on Queen Nandi drive near Rosary drive this morning.

Rescue Care Operations Director, Garrith Jamieson said the car had five occupants and the taxi was only occupied by the driver.

“Two men believed to be in their early twenties passed away before paramedics arrived on the scene. A female who was also in the car passed away moments after advanced Life Support was attempted on her at the scene. One other passenger from the car has sustained moderate injuries. Both drivers have escaped unharmed,” he said.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS will be investigating further.
