Ten injured in Umgeni Road taxi collision

The taxi off the road into nearby trees.

Ten people were injured on Umgeni Road when a taxi collided with a car near North Coast Road in Durban this morning.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:30 am. Paramedics from ER24 and other services arrived to find the taxi had veered off the road into nearby trees.

Ten people suffered minor to moderate injuries. Paramedics treated the injured for scrapes and bruises before they were transported to Addington Hospital.

None of the occupants in the light motor vehicle sustained any injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision is not yet known.
